以下,訂正追加分=Watcherサイトをもう少し丁寧に紹介したいが手付かず.

ID創造論者の戦略と現状を鵜浦裕氏*1は次の4点にまとめている[朝日新聞2005/10/19かがく批評室-「反進化論」の今 「神」を棚上げにする創造論運動-]

(1) 潤沢な運動資金を奨学金や研究費にあて,「批判」研究を出版させ,マスコミを利用し「生物進化論をめぐる科学論争」の既成事実化をこころみた.

(2) 教育論争においても政教分離の原則内で論陣を張れるよう,「神による創造」を争点からはずし,「生物進化論vs.デザイン」の対立軸を設定する.

(3) この対立軸を「信仰の否定vs.信仰との調和」の対立軸に重ね合わせることで,これまで生物進化論を受け入れてきた中道派市民に,それは科学教育としても信仰としてもふさわしくないことを説得する.

(4) 彼らの支持で当選した州議会議員や教育委員が,対象を特定せず「論争がある場合には賛否両論を公平に教える」という遠まわしの表現を州や学区の教育方針に滑り込ませる.オハイオ,ニューメキシコ,ミネソタでは州レベルでこの規則が制度化され,カンザス州でも検討されている.
